Q: How can I protect my platform from an unauthorized password reset A: There are several mitigations and best practices customers should follow to help protect their platforms. If a password manager offers a means to reset your master password then it is inherently insecure and you shouldn’t be using it. The backup copy is stored in encrypted form in the EDB format. The password you use to sign in to and unlock the 1Password apps is your account password. If you forgot your password, try to recover it. Once enabled, user accounts will be able to have their master password s reset as long as they have logged in to the LastPass web browser extension at least once. The only catch (potentially) is that users may only share passwords with other people who also have Keeper accounts or are part of the same family. If you know your password, you can change it at any time. LastPass admins can enable the 'Permit super admins to reset master password s' policy for their account to allow designated admins to reset a users master password. ![]() The backup copy is protected by the master password used when the backup copy was created. Keeper’s password sharing features are open to any of its account types, from individuals through enterprise users. When creating a backup copy of the vault, Kaspersky Password Manager exports entries to a file stored on your device. You can use it to restore your data if you remember your master password. The super password can only be generated after the user enters the product. #KEEPER MASTER PASSWORD RESET GENERATOR#You can save a backup copy of your vault before deleting it. Connect the DVR / NVR to the monitor and turn it on, run the downloaded super password generator on your computer, enter or select the system time and date displayed on the DVR / NVR, and click OK to generate a temporary password. Then you will be able to add new data to the vault. In this case, you will have to create a new vault and protect it with a new master password. If you forget your master password, you will no longer be able to access your data. We recommend that you memorize your master password, or write it down and keep it in a secure place, because it can't be restored or recovered if forgotten.
